Back up your DVDs

A great program to rip and back up a dvd is a program is called DVD Shrink. What DVD Shrink does is makes a hard disc image of a dvd which can later be burned to a dvd via Nero or any other DVD burning software. Because of the long process of encoding and decoding, the process of making an image can take around an hour. A great feature of DVD Shrink is that if the DVD you are intending to back up is slightly larger in digital size than the average dvd, you can opt to not include certain languages to reduce the total size of the your backup copy. The program comes with NO spyware or junkware of any sort and is completely free! Check out their website at: http://www.dvdshrink.org/. To find more instructions on how to download the software, click the "Where" button at the bottom of the screen.
