If you are one of the many people out there who have problems logging in (stuck at validating) to your account using AOL's new chatting software codenamed Triton, there is finally a fix available! Direct your browser to the official AIM Triton Beta Test site. The question that has the solution is called "Q: I am hanging at the validating stage during the sign on process, what should I do?". This directs you to a link of a .reg file which will make some safe changes to your operating systems registry. Once this is done, restart AIM Triton and you should be able to seamlessly log in!
