Google is rolling out with a free instant messenging client for anybody with a Google account and password. Because Google Talk is still in Beta, features are limited to merely chatting and voice chatting. So long as your buddy also has Google Talk installed, he or she will be able to talk verbally to you for free. Like usual, the interface for Google Talk is very simple with the window resembling Apple's silver theme. From the main window, you can go directly to your inbox via your primary browser. Voice chatting was relatively clear.

Google Talk will definetely compete directly with Skype, which is currently the dominating voice chatting client. Will monstrous Google company overpower Skype? Everything is still up in the air. Check out Google Talk and Skype!
